My first real adventure with network marketing started in 2002 when we were forced to sell our family business. I had to find a NEW career...and FAST! My background was in customer service and distribution. Being a beer and soda wholesaler/distributor for all my life taught me that service is “king” and follow-up is “queen”. I don’t care what industry you're in if you don’ t have those two items on the top of your list and “live” by them day to day you will fail even if you are selling ice water in hell. What I learned is that owning a business is the only way to achieve the lifestyle I wanted for my family. I grew up with an owners mentality with all the jobs I had to do and I still carry that with me today. Even when I was working for other people I would continually push the owners of the companies to have better business practices and habits like work force productivity, scheduling tasks, contacting the customer and keeping them informed regardless of the situation, etc.. I was looking for a way to leverage my time and money so I could regain my true freedom and STILL generate a high end lifestyle. I researched starting my own liquor store since I had The background in it and knew how it functioned but I knew that I would be sitting from 8AM-9PM everyday just hoping people would come by. Then I looked into buying a franchise but they were all huge investments that were going to take up all of my resources to get started from scratch. All of that time searching and figuring out what I was going to do and it was starring right back at me everyday...…the Internet. Since then I have spent 10's of Thousands of dollars online and have joined and operated many online affiliate sites such as SFI, Empowerism, BigLeadsPro, Direct Home Shopping, CDT,etc. These programs or should I say sponsors took my money and never trained or even contacted me so learning was only by hard knocks. I gave up on these and got sucked into the HYIP (High Yield Investment Programs) and PTS (paid to surf) world with PIPS, Foreign Fund, 12Daily Pay, Golden Rocks, and dozens more. These all eventually failed from either owner thievery or the government shut them down for being ponzi schemes. So that brings me to TODAY where I run online businesses where I can utilize all the resources and the people of the world. As you can see I have spent A LOT of time and money learning to master the art of marketing on the internet and have been able to teach myself how to earn money online, a decent amount of money, in the process. In the past I have been paid up to $100 per hour for my expertise in developing Websites, SEO (Search Engine Optimization), Personal Branding, Social Network Marketing, Article Writing etc. Don’t get me wrong I’m not saying this to brag but to simply stress the importance of the message that I have to share with you. I'm not going to ask you to pay me for my time. In fact I'm not going to ask you to pay ANYTHING for me to work with you. You'll see why in a minute! You see every month I work with ONLY 5 people and teach them how to earn money from home STEP BY STEP. Here’s the catch. I only really get paid for my time if they succeed. If I am not successful in teaching them exactly what they need to do to create an income online then I don’t get paid for my time (I'll explain this later). As I already said before my time is Extremely valuable to me. Before we get into any of that however. I feel it necessary to share my story because I want you to know that I was not always where I am today. As you read above I went through some pretty tough times before I actually made this whole " earn money from home" thing work. I hit complete rock bottom. I seriously had no Idea what I was going to do for my family. If you would have asked me if it was possible for me to be in this situation only 6 months earlier I would have said you were crazy. I was making 90k a year and life was good money wise. I could pretty much buy whatever I wanted; I had a $490,000 house, 2 cars and I paid my bills before they were even due. Life was very comfortable for my family. I was working 65 hour work weeks and hated it. I was always away from my family. On top of that, I hated my boss, I hated my hour long commute to work, I hated making someone else rich with my blood, sweat and tears and the list goes on. I figured Why struggle day in and day out working like a dog building up Someone Else's Business; When I would rather be working like a dog building up MY OWN Legitimate home based business? Every where you looked you saw these so-called "online business mentors" who seemed like total idiots claiming they know how to earn money online, so I figured how hard can it really be? Bottom line - I had to figure out how to earn money from home because I did NOT want to be working for someone else until I was 70 YEARS OLD! I had the mindset that I WOULD NOT FAIL and could not continue this terrible life for my family. If I did I would never truly ever be able to find happiness. So here I am only 6 months into my online business that EVERYONE laughed at me for starting and.... I was a complete failure! I can’t say I really blame them for laughing though. I mean how many 40 years olds do you see that quit there job and strike it rich with paid internet jobs? I never saw myself as average. Average was for people that had "dead end" jobs that they knew would never grow into something better and were satisfied with it. NOT ME and I was not going to live an average life. I had to prove them all wrong. Up until this point I was not doing a very good job of that though. I saw success ALL around me on the internet talking to self made millionaires, online business mentors and marketing gurus on a daily basis picking their brains and then trying to figure out "my own" system for ways to earn money. But it never happened. Dollar after dollar was leaving my pocket and nothing was going back in. I've always heard, you have to hit rock bottom and then you are FORCED to make a change and that it has to get worse before it gets better. Well get this, to top it all off my septic system went and it was going to cost $15,000 CASH (Financing NOT available) to replace or I would continue to have a muddy cesspool bubbling out of my yard and toilets that backed up into the house--gross. I had NO CHOICE but to fix it! I thought I was going to have a nervous breakdown. I mean seriously, what would you do? What happen next changed my entire course and was COMPLETELY humbling. I decided to listen and actually follow step by step what my other successful online business mentors were doing to earn money from home. Fortunately, for me they were still willing to lend me some advice. I followed just one of their many strategies and I ran with it. The first week I started to earn extra money. Then in 6 weeks time I had made $13,400 net profit. I was back in the game. That was close to enough money for me to pay for my new septic (yeah!). The best part is that now I knew I could do it!
I learned an EXTREMELY valuable lesson from all of this. Seriously IF YOU READ NOTHING ELSE READ THIS… The main reason that I failed was that I was hanging on to what I thought should work instead of letting go of it for what actually worked. What ever you do, do not EVER get emotionally attached to your online business. Keep what is working and scrap what is not. Also make sure you align yourself with the right mentor and team of people that are going to give you the right advice. Do not follow the blind even if that includes yourself. With this new found paradigm, I became a student of the home based business industry since I finally could earn money online I reinvested my profits into my education, learning many new strategies that have made me a lot more money. Last year I spent well over $20,000 on seminars, e-Books, courses on "ways to earn money" and lessons from online business mentors. The investment was nothing however when compared to the knowledge of how to earn extra money. The other cool thing about this entire struggle is I learned about starting a home business from nothing. That is something that no one will ever be able to take from me. That is far more valuable than just someone just giving me the money. If I were to ever lose everything I have, I know exactly what I need to do to pull myself right back up and I have the confidence to do it.
